Overnight Market Snapshot – Auguts 27, 2013

The US equities markets remained in red last night as the DJIA, S&P 500, and Nasdaq fell by 0.43%, 0.40%, and 0.01%, respectively, on news that the US will hold Syria accountable for the recent domestic chemical attacks in the latter’s country. Emerging market shares were not spared as iShares MSCI Philippines Index Etf or Ephe and the Philippine Long Distance Company Adrs or Phi also dipped by 1.11% and 1.49%, respectively. Given this, the local stock market may continue to experience some downward pressure.
